MISSION: |
UACT's mission is to prepare and present diverse programs for audiences in and around Douglas County, Oregon. UACT strives to provide an outlet for those persons wishing to participate in theatre and education and training related to theatre skills and techniques. UACT presents five major productions per year in the Betty Long Unruh Theatre as well as offering educational opportunities in the form of workshops in theatre techniques and summer youth theatre opportunities. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

BACKGROUND: |
UACT has been in continuous operation since 1977. Performing in the Betty Long Unruh Theatre since 1987, UACT is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors that leads several volunteer committees in fulfilling the mission of the theatre. UACT produces a wide range of theatre productions including comedy, drama and musicals for the Douglas County area. Productions are volunteer led and involve several hundred volunteers during the course of each theatre season. UACT is financially supported by membership, ticket sales, production sponsorships and grants. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Umpqua Actors Community Theatre is headquartered in the Betty Long Unruh Theatre at 1614 W. Harvard Avenue in Roseburg, Oregon. UACT is a volunteer organization, depending on the financial support of its membership and sponsors, as well as ticket sales. Membership information is also available in the lobby.
UACT's box office is open Tuesday-Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm, and one hour prior to each performance.
