Guilty Conscience
by Richard Levinson and William Link
Directed By: Ken Ellis
Performance: Sept. 12 - Oct. 5,
2008
A
brilliant and ruthless criminal attorney plots to kill his wife and
test each scenario in the courtroom of his mind. He creates an
imaginary prosecutor and pits himself against his alter ego in a
series of witty and sometimes hostile exchanges. Again and again he is
frustrated, unable to formulate the ultimate alibi. He is shocked to
learn that his wife and someone else are planning to kill him. The
playwrights have a wonderful time manipulating us into believing one
thing, then switch on the lights and exclaim: "SUPRISE"! A witty and
suspensful mystery full of humor.

Boy Gets Girl
by Rebecca Gilman
Performance: Feb. 13 - Mar. 8, 2009
What
is a stalker? And what kind of life can a woman lead when she knows she
is being followed, obsessively and perhaps dangerously, by one? This
is the dilemma facing Theresa Bedell, a reporter living in New York
City when she innocently goes on an awkward blind date with a friend of
a friend. Soon, she sees no need to continue the relationship but the
man refuses to take no for an answer and the situation escalates to a
freightening conclusion. Gilman explores the dak side of relationships
today with disasterous results. Great theater. Well written and
compelling.

Music by Stephen Flaherty
Performance: April 10 - May 3, 2009
An
exuberant musical set in the sultry Caribbean and it has the gentle
patois of the islands and is loosely based on the fairytale "The Little
Mermaid". It tells the story of TiMoune, a peasant girl who rescues,
nurses, and falls in love with Daniel who is from a wealthy family.
When Daniel is returned to his people, the gods who rule the island
guide TiMoune on a quest to test the strength of her love against the
powerful forces of prejudice, hatred, and death. A moving and
uplifting piece of musical theater.

The Boys Next Door
by Tom Griffin
Performance: June 5 - June 28, 2009
This
very funny yet touching play focuses on the lives of developmentally
disabled young men who live in a communal residence under the watchful
eye of a sincere but increasingly burned out social worker. Filled
with humor, this play is also marked by the compassion and
understanding it uses to peek into the world of the four young men.
